erosion detector corrosion probe model EP-1000 (Retrievable)
Erosion problem usually occurs at locations where pipe changes in direction and size. Erosion detector probes are used to detect and measure erosion rate caused by abrasive particles in top side equipment such as chokes, valves, and flow-lines. Corrosion resistant alloys (CRA) are used as the sacrificial element. These materials such as Austenitic stainless steel, duplex stainless steel or Inconel will show erosion effects exclusively. Probe body and sensor element are manufactured from 316 stainless steel. Probe bodies and elements are available as alternative materials upon request. Standard probes are designed for mounting through a Hollow Plug assembly. This allows the probe to be installed in the process, using a retriever tool and service valve, without process shutdown.
